Frequently Asked Questions
Do you only photograph neurodivergent families?
No. I serve all families throughout the St. Louis area — including seniors, maternity, newborn, and milestone sessions. However, I specialize in neurodivergent and autism family photography, and many families choose me because they want a calmer, more patient experience.
What if my child has a meltdown during our session?
First — it’s okay. Truly. I expect real life to happen. If a child becomes overwhelmed, we pause. We adjust. We give space. Nothing is ruined, and you will never be judged. Some of the most meaningful images happen after a reset, when your child feels safe again.
Do my kids have to smile or look at the camera?
No. I focus on connection over performance. Authentic family photography doesn’t require forced smiles or eye contact. Your child deserves to be photographed as they are — not as they’re told to be.
How do you make sessions sensory-friendly?
I build sessions with slower pacing, flexible structure, and awareness of common sensory triggers. We choose calm locations when needed, allow breaks, and avoid high-pressure posing. As an autism mom, I’m constantly reading the environment and adjusting in real time.
Where do you offer family photography in St. Louis?
I serve families throughout Affton, Webster Groves, Kirkwood, Sunset Hills, Chesterfield, and the greater St. Louis area. If you’re unsure about location, I help guide you to a setting that fits your child’s comfort level.
What if I’m nervous about how this will go?
That’s completely normal. Many parents reach out feeling anxious about family photos. My goal is for you to leave feeling relieved — not drained. You don’t have to manage everything alone during your session. I’m there to help guide the flow calmly and confidently.
How do we get started?
When you’re ready, you can begin your session here. I’ll walk you through the process step by step so you know exactly what to expect.
